HI! I went with Debt Counseling Corp–and have referred many people there because they have been great! You should go with someone with a good rep and you feel comfortable with–Also–stay away from those settlement company’s! They will ruin your credit!

Some of the bad apples in this industry mislead people about their charges. They would either say there are no fees involved or just a small fee, but when the reality checks in they put a huge bill in front of you, and you are forced to pay up! Some companies now claim they can negotiate a one-time settlement with all of your creditors that will reduce your principal by as much as 50 to 70 percent. By doing this, they say, your monthly payments will drop dramatically. But this is virtually impossible under any circumstances.
